Yes, MOP STARS are fully insured.
What does our being insured mean for you?
There are two types of insurance that every client should consider when choosing a cleaning service—a Business Owner’s Policy and Workers’ Compensation.
Business Owner’s Policy
A Business Owner’s Policy covers a business owner for many different potential claims.
You, as a client, should be concerned about things like property damage and theft.
Ask any cleaning service you are considering if they have a business owner’s policy. You don’t need to take their word for it, they should be able to send you an up-to-date Certificate of Insurance right away, if they have one.
Hire an insured Denver cleaning service with a reasonable minimum of $1M in coverage. You may never need them to file a claim, but if they do not carry insurance, what else are they doing to cut corners? If something goes wrong, you are not likely to hear from them again.
Worker’s Compensation Insurance
Workers’ Compensation Insurance is a must for every business that employs people (or they must post a bond to self-insure).
WC insurance covers our employees in case they get hurt on the job. More importantly, they are covered if they get hurt while in your home!
This is important. As with the business owner’s policy, be sure that any Denver cleaning company you consider has their employees covered.
If you hire an independent cleaner who does not carry their own WC insurance, then you are liable for any injury that occurs while they are cleaning your home. Note that a Homeowner’s Policy does NOT cover a business-related accident on your property.
Reduce your risk and liability by hiring a cleaning service that is fully insured.
